Day of Reflection Opportunity :

The San Damiano Fraternity of Ruskin, FL is sponsoring our Ninth Annual Day of Reflection to be held February 12, 2022 at Dayspring Conference Center in Parrish, FL. Dayspring is a lovely, wooded, natural setting along the Manatee River with spacious meeting rooms, large dining room, a beautiful chapel in the woods, and an outdoor labyrinth. What an ideal place to experience peace, tranquility and stunning natural beauty!

Father John Hogan, OFM will be our retreat master for the day. His theme: “Creation in the Spirit of St. Francis.” Registration will be limited, so make your reservation now, and by all means bring a friend.  The day will include breakfast and lunch, sessions with our presenter, an opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Celebration of the Mass in the chapel in the woods, and time for quiet reflection.

In past years we have had Secular Franciscans from as many as 7 different fraternities join us. We are a small fraternity and welcome the participation of other fraternities. It helps us feel connected to the Franciscan community at large. Come join us as we deepen our understanding of our relationship to St. Francis of Assisi and to one another.

Details are on the Registration Form attached to this email.

Peace and all good!

THE WHOLE FRANCISCAN FAMILY CELEBRATES THE FRANCISCAN CENTENARY
The Ministers General of the Franciscan Family invite us to commemorate the Franciscan Centenary which will be announced on November 29, 2021 at the Sanctuary of Greccio. From 2023 to 2026 we will remember the stages of the 800th anniversaries of the Rule, the Christmas of Greccio (2023), the Stigmata (2024), the Canticle of Creatures (2025), and the Easter of Francis (2026). This will be the opportunity to revive our common Franciscan identity.
